Family River Health Day

June 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

You’re Invited to CWC’s Family River Health Day on Saturday, June 22nd!

Help care for the San Lorenzo River with the Watershed Rangers youth program during this special event for the whole family!

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., the Coastal Watershed Council invites youth and families to help take care of native plants along the San Lorenzo River. Spend the morning outdoors at the river with us and participate in other fun youth-friendly activities like art projects and bird watching with binoculars!

Did you know that the native habitat of the San Lorenzo River supports thousands of different plants and animal species? The river is also our main source of drinking water! Together as a community, we will make the San Lorenzo River healthier and more beautiful.

We will meet at 10 am on June 22 on the east bank of the San Lorenzo River between the Laurel and Riverside Street bridges (See link). We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, and we require wearing sturdy closed-toe shoes. We will have all the supplies you need for this event, including gloves and tools. Light refreshments will be provided.

All ages and abilities are welcome! Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you have any questions before the event, call, text, or email CWC Education Coordinator Sam Adelson at (831) 200-4102 or sadelson@coastal-watershed.org. Please RSVP for this event by filling out the short registration form below!
