I’m filled with so much gratitude as I reflect in this video on what CWC has achieved for the San Lorenzo River this year – gratitude for our amazing (and growing!) team, for our valued partners in our work, and for YOU, our community of supporters who have been with us every step of the way. Here are just a few of the big things we accomplished together in 2023:

  • 💪 Joined with nine partner organizations to mobilize 245 community volunteers and remove more than 3,800 pounds of trash and debris from the river after the storms.
  • 🐦 Advocated for environmentally balanced vegetation management on the river levees, resulting in more habitat preserved for birds, fish, and wildlife.
  • 🌱 Coordinated 350 volunteers who planted 450 native plants and removed over 2,500 square feet of invasive species.
  • 🎒 Hosted more than 1,000 youth on field trips to help the youngest members of our community fall in love with and care for the San Lorenzo River.

And so much more! We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for responding to our calls to action, for sharing your voice, for volunteering your time, and for giving generous donations that make this work possible. I hope you’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together!
