“Who wants to read your pledge?”
28 hands shot in the air. One by one 5th grade students at Green Acres Elementary proudly shared their Watershed Ranger pledge focusing on what they could do everyday to help out their environment and community. Proud voices declared “Pick up after my dog”, “Take 5 minute showers.” “Share what I know with others.”
Following the pledge, these 28 students proudly pinned on their Watershed Ranger badges and stood up to be sworn in as Watershed Rangers.
It is listening to these Watershed Rangers about their passion, their curiosity and what they stand for in support their community and the environment that we are reminded that every voice has power, every person has a role, and no matter what we are in it together to support our community and our environment.
