Urban Watch Monitoring Day 2

June 15, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Each summer, the Urban Watch monitoring program studies urban runoff in the City of Capitola to see what human-caused pollutants are flowing into Soquel Creek and eventually to the Monterey Bay. From June to September, citizen science volunteers and CWC staff visit storm drain outfalls and stream sites on Soquel Creek and Noble Gulch Creek weekly to collect water samples and field measurements. Urban Watch volunteers learn about stream ecology, are trained in water quality monitoring and get to explore the Soquel Creek watershed.

Sign up to be an Urban Watch volunteer for this monitoring event and upcoming monitoring events now!
