Test an Augmented Reality River Game

The Social Emotional Technology Laboratory at UC Santa Cruz is testing out a new augmented reality game related to the San Lorenzo River, and needs your help! They are looking for people who like to play games, have an Android phone, and are curious about Augmented Reality (AR). The game is part of research to understand how playful interactions can be used to facilitate environmental awareness.
Come stop by for free pizza, fun, and to play the game! You are welcome to bring a friend. Top performers will also win prizes.
Events will be held on the following days at the following locations:
- 5/9 and 5/17: Santa Cruz Boardwalk
- 5/10 and 5/16: Santa Cruz Chinatown Bridge
- All dates from 1:30pm – 4:30pm
No need to stay the whole time: a single session will take about 30 minutes, but you are welcome to stay for as long as you’d like. The only requirement is that you (and your friend) have an Android device. Register here!
The Coastal Watershed Council provided input on the development of this game. Feel free to contact Linda Hirsch (lihirsch@ucsc.edu) or Katherine Kosolapova (kkosolap@ucsc.edu) with any questions.
