March 23, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for the fifth annual State of the San Lorenzo River Symposium! Learn from local experts about the science, history, and policies related to the San Lorenzo River watershed.

This free event is cohosted by the City of Santa Cruz Water Department, the County of Santa Cruz, the Coastal Watershed Council, the Resource Conservation District, and the San Lorenzo Valley Water District.

An interactive tour on the San Lorenzo River levees and climate change vulnerability, part of the Exploring the San Lorenzo River Series, will be offered following the symposium. Participants of all ages are welcome to join in learning about how the levees were constructed for flood control and predicted impacts of climate change on the lower river. The tour will start at 1:00.
