Why Volunteer?
On Snapshot Day, you’ll have the unique opportunity to collect water quality samples from streams that flow into the stunning Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. By volunteering, you’ll play a key role in gathering important data that helps us understand and protect the health of our rivers and streams. Thousands of volunteers have contributed to this effort, and we’d love for you to join this dedicated community!
What’s Involved?
It’s a one-day event, July 12, 8:30am-12:30pm, and we’ve made it easy for you to get involved:
- Attend one training session (we have 5 convenient options in-person and virtual!)
- Collect valuable water quality data in local streams
- Support the health of our waterways through hands-on action!
Who Can Participate?
Pre-registration and training is required to participate! Once you sign up, the Water Quality Program Coordinator will follow up with all the details, including training reminders, event logistics, and any paperwork.
