Snapshot Day 2022
May 7, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

The first Saturday in May is just around the corner, and with it comes the 23rd Annual Snapshot Day! The Coastal Watershed Council has coordinated with our long-standing partners at the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Foundation to continue to collect important water quality data from our watersheds that flow into the Sanctuary. On the first Saturday in May, volunteers will collect field measurements and water samples from creeks and rivers that flow into Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary that are tested for bacteria, nitrate and phosphate. Monitoring results will be analyzed by Sanctuary staff and shared with our community members and leaders to increase awareness and action for cleaner water. If you are interested in joining Snapshot Day this year, register using the form below, contact Pam Krone from the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Foundation with any questions, and save the date for Snapshot Day water quality monitoring on Saturday, May 7 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
