On January 19th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. join the Coastal Watershed Council and our partner, the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History in the presentation of “Perils in Paradise: Geology and Natural Disasters in Santa Cruz County” at the Rio Theatre.

At Perils in Paradise, distinguished UCSC Professor Gary Griggs will take you into the world of San Lorenzo River flooding, earthquakes and local natural disasters that have shaped life in Santa Cruz County. Considering a future of climate crisis, Griggs will also discuss the value of climate change protections for the resilience of our community.
