River Health Day with REI

Volunteer and make a difference in the San Lorenzo River ecosystem!
Join us for CWC’s River Health Day with our guests from REI and do your part to increase biodiversity and revitalize the San Lorenzo River ecosystem
Volunteers will meet on the east riverbank between the Soquel Ave and Laurel Street bridges. We encourage walking, biking and other modes of active transportation to the event! If you drive a vehicle, parking is available on Dakota Avenue or across the river in downtown Santa Cruz. The closest parking garage is at 601 Front Street.
We require that all volunteers dress in closed-toe shoes and recommend comfortable gardening clothes, including long pants and long socks. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Gloves, tools and light refreshments will be provided.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

¡Sea voluntario y marca la diferencia en el ecosistema del Río San Lorenzo!
Durante el Dia de la Salud del Río, plantaremos plantas nativas en la orilla del Río San Lorenzo para mejorar la biodiversidad y ayudar a las especies nativas.
Nos encontraremos en el lado este del río, entre los puentes de Soquel Avenue y Laurel Street. Hay estacionamiento gratuito disponible en la oficina de CWC (107 Dakota Avenue). El estacionamiento de pago está disponible en Dakota Avenue o al otro lado del río en el centro de Santa Cruz.
Sugerimos que todos los voluntarios vengan en ropa cómoda, incluyendo pantalones largos y zapatos cerrados. Traiga protección solar y una botella de agua reutilizable. Guantes, herramientas, y bocadillos ligeros se proveerán.
