*EVENT POSTPONED* River Health Day
March 14, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO SUPPORT COUNTY EFFORTS TO REDUCE THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19).
Following state and county guidelines regarding coronavirus, COVID-19, we are postponing our March River Health Day scheduled for Saturday, March 14. Our community is working hard to slow the spread of COVID-19, and as an organization, we are committed to doing all that we can to help.
We appreciate your interest in the river and thank you for your understanding during these challenging times. The good news is there are lots of other ways you can continue to engage with the lower San Lorenzo River! Take a walk along the Riverwalk in between spring showers, donate to support CWC’s river-based programs, or sign up for future volunteer opportunities like Snapshot Day, our annual water quality monitoring event.
Volunteer and make a difference in the San Lorenzo River ecosystem!
Join us for our March River Health Day and plant native seedlings along the banks of the San Lorenzo River to increase biodiversity and revitalize the river ecosystem. This is our last public planting day for the season so don’t miss out!
We will meet on the east riverbank between the Soquel Ave and Laurel Street bridges. Free parking is available in the CWC parking lot at 107 Dakota Ave. Paid parking is also available on Dakota Avenue or across the river in downtown Santa Cruz. The closest parking garage is at 601 Front Street.
Gloves, tools and light refreshments provided. We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, include long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle.
All ages and abilities welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Call (831) 464 9200 x104 with any questions before the event. RSVP for this and other River Health Day events below!
