River Health Day
July 13, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Volunteer and make a difference in the San Lorenzo River ecosystem!
During the July River Health Day, we will be watering and weeding native plants and removing invasive plants along the banks of the San Lorenzo River to improve biodiversity and habitat complexity in the river ecosystem.
This event will take place on the east bank of the San Lorenzo River downstream of the Soquel Avenue Bridge. We will meet along the Santa Cruz Riverwalk – look for our table! We highly recommend walking or biking to the event as there is limited parking in the area. Parking is available in the CWC parking lot (107 Dakota Ave.) or behind the Royal Taj India Cuisine restaurant (270 Soquel Ave.); from either parking location you can then easily walk to the meeting location along the Riverwalk.
Gloves, tools and light refreshments provided. We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, include long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle.
All ages and abilities welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Call (831) 464 9200 x104 with any questions before the event.
