Monterey Bay Community Power: First Annual Community Power Festival
July 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join Monterey Bay Community Power at the First Annual Community Power Festival to celebrate clean energy, community and sustainability. The Community Power Festival will provide our community with opportunities to learn about clean energy and the role that energy plays in environmental impact and sustainability. Experience firsthand what the power of community can accomplish in the face of a global climate crisis. Together, we can combine our power and build a stronger sense of community through sustainability and clean energy.
As a public, not-for-profit agency formed by 16 cities and all three counties in Tri-County, Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) has a duty to engage and educate our community members. MBCP’s objective for the Community Power Festival is to build a tradition of collaborating with community partners to engage, educate and continue building MBCP into a valuable community resource. The Community Power Festival will also complement MBCP’s primary commitments to Local Choice, Clean Energy and Economic Vitality.
Featuring interactive booths, local vendors, community organizations, food and live music, the Community Power Festival will provide residents and businesses with an opportunity to share and learn more about clean energy, community, and sustainability.
During its inaugural year the Community Power Festival will take place in Santa Cruz County but the goal for 2019 is to host three different Community Power Festival events that benefit the local communities in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties.
