Exploring the San Lorenzo River Tour: Fish Food Chains

FREEJoin us for the Exploring the San Lorenzo River tour on March 18 from 8:30 to 10:30. This tour will be hosted by the Coastal Watershed Council and will be about the aquatic ecosystems and food chains that fish rely on in the San Lorenzo River and Lagoon. There will be hands-on learning in fish and benthic invertebrate (bug) identification. The tour and seining exercises and bug collection will be led by Nick Macias and Travis Apgar.
This tour will meet here on the Riverwalk adjacent to Mike Fox Park. Parking is available in the park parking lot and on San Lorenzo Boulevard. The Exploring the San Lorenzo River Series offers weekly interactive tours on the topic of fish and birds of the watershed co-hosted by the Coastal Watershed Council and Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. Learn about and explore the ecosystem of the San Lorenzo River with experts! Tours are open to all ages and will be hosted every Saturday!
