Exploring the San Lorenzo River Series Tour: Bringing Stickleback!

April 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

About this tour…

On the Bringing Stickleback tour, we will learn about the three-spined stickleback that lives in the lower San Lorenzo River. In addition to learning about the evolution of these fascinating characters, you will have the opportunity to net stickleback and examine traps, two types of monitoring activities that allow us an up-close look at this fantastic fish. The tour will be led by Ben Wasserman, PhD Candidate at UC-Santa Cruz.

Please wear layers and sturdy shoes for this tour. CWC will bring wading boots to use while exploring the river. If you would like to take notes please bring a journal and pen. The tour will occur on the San Lorenzo Riverwalk. We will meet here across from Trader Joe’s near the Chinatown Bridge (pedestrian bridge).

Reserve your spot below!
