Chinatown Bridge Community Meeting

June 18, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Chinatown Bridge

On June 18, join a discussion about how Santa Cruz might honor the last Chinatown in our community. Located right by the river, Chinatown was lost during the Christmas flood of 1955. For too many, it’s been forgotten.

Join a discussion with local artists and members of the Chinese-American community and others, including Kathleen Crocetti, Tom Ralston, George Ow, Jr., exploring how renaming a pedestrian bridge over the river as the Chinatown Bridge and investing in a public art piece might commemorate Chinatown and beautify the Riverwalk.

We’ll see you from 5:30-7:30pm, June 18 in the Garden Room at the MAH.

Please contact CWC Executive Director Greg Pepping with any questions at (831) 464-9400 x101.
