Distance Learning

No matter where students are, the Coastal Watershed Council’s distance learning program engages students in a series of activities that progressively increase students’ awareness and literacy of environmental issues appropriate to their grade level. Activities are a blend of outdoor investigations and observations, engaging with educational videos, text and infographics, and writing and drawing tasks to increase students understanding of the academic material. Students culminate their program by completing an action project in service of the local environmental issue they are studying. Students are guided through the activities lesson by lesson through hyperdocs. Activities support grade level Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core Math and English Language Arts standards.
