Stewardship Portal
Now you can access CWC’s water quality database and other information on monitoring sites, including photos, through the Google Maps-based platform. Find the site closest to your home or your heart and see what’s happening through CWC’s Data & Stewardship Portal.
That’s the “Data” piece of the Data & Stewardship Portal, but what about the “Stewardship” piece? For CWC, Stewardship means that each person will recognize that they do have an impact on water quality. What each of does each day affects the health of local creeks, wetlands and the Monterey Bay. CWC’s Stewardship effort is about making our impact a positive one. How? We offer ideas through the CWC Stewardship Toolkit. After you find an idea and implement it, you can post what you’ve done on CWC’s Data & Stewardship Portal. You can post photos and a story of what positive steps you’ve taken. The idea is that neighbors and friends will be inspired, and the cumulative effect of these many individual actions all adds up to preserving and protecting coastal watersheds.
